Description
Discover the world of Japanese whisky through a private 90-minute tasting experience in Shibuya.
Located around a 7-minute walk from both Shibuya and Omotesando stations, the experience takes place in a calm and relaxed space away from the busy streets outside.
Choose from four themed tasting courses, each featuring 5–6 premium Japanese whiskies and three carefully selected Japanese food pairings.
Your private guide will introduce the background of each whisky as you taste, including its production, distillery story, region, and flavor characteristics.
The experience goes beyond whisky alone.
Before your tasting, use colorful origami and mizuhiki cords to decorate your own tasting setting on a traditional Wajima-nuri lacquerware plate.
You will also receive an original English-language Whisky Passport containing a flavor map, tasting notes, and stories about the whiskies and distilleries featured during your experience.
As you taste each pour, seasonal visuals of Japan help connect the whisky with the landscapes, craftsmanship, and regions behind it.
Compare the different styles and flavors to discover which Japanese whisky best suits your personal taste.
If you find another whisky you would like to try, additional pours may be ordered during the experience for an extra charge.
At the end of the session, you can also discover Japanese crafts, souvenirs, and artisan experiences through TORIDORI’s network of traditional studios and craftspeople.
With a maximum of six guests and a fully private setting, this experience is designed for travelers looking for a relaxed and personal introduction to Japanese whisky and culture.
